In countries where the Freddy Hirsch Group presently does not have an agent or representative we export directly to the customer.
Once the customer advises the following details, we are able to supply a quotation, inclusive of transportation and insurance to the nearest international airport or port of choice:
- Products required and quantities
- Nearest International Airport or Port
We are able to send small consignments door to door via courier, but this is very expensive option. Quotations are available on request. The usual transportation options are via air freight or sea freight - the quantity required will dictate the most cost effective option. We do not send parcels out via post.
Payment options
All export orders are subject to payment up front in full prior to dispatch. Payment can be processed in the following manner:
- Credit Card payments are accepted for orders of below R10 000-00
- Bank draft payments - if using this option, it must be noted that the Freddy Hirsch Group do not accept any liability should any party involved in the transaction mislay the original draft thereby necessitating that it be replaced.
- Telegraphic transfer into our bank account.
- Only funds payable from a non South African account will be accepted.
Product information
Product Specification and data sheets are available on request for all food ingredients for presentation to customs, if required.
We strongly recommend that any new importer check with a clearing/shipping agent what duties are payable on importation as well as what clearance charges or procedures will apply. Clearance charges and duties are NOT included on our invoice – these charges are payable when cleared at the destination.
You are welcome to obtain this information from any shipping/clearing agent. Should you not have an established relationship with an agent, you are most welcome to contact us for recommendation.
The responsibility of ensuring that the cargo may be imported into the receiving country will lie with the customer.
