About Us Our family business has been trading in spice since 1956, which means a lot of spice has passed through our experienced hands. And as we continue to keep our No. 1 spot in the spice industry, we know that the core values of service excellence, quality products and technical innovation set up by the founding generation are safe and secure in the hands of our second generation, who are already successfully flying the family flag. Co-incidentally, the vast majority of Freddy Hirsch customers are family-owned businesses and the loyalty shown by these customers through the generations has played a huge part in the group's on-going success. What we do We are a manufacturing, distribution and marketing organisation, offering unique products and services through our highly trained Sales and Technical staff to the thousands of Independent and Supermarket Retail Butcheries, Meat Processing Factories and Poultry Factories in Southern Africa – in fact, from Cape Town to Nigeria! The Freddy Hirsch Group offers our customers an extensive and varied product list. Most ingredients are manufactured in our local Cape Town plant while some commodities and equipment are sourced from major international principals, all of whom are market leaders in their field. Spices, seasonings and complete packs are manufactured in our HACCP-rated spice milling and blending facility, which is the only one of its kind in South Africa.
